How to check your Social Security Disability claim status

Alternatively, clients are encouraged to to monitor the status of their Social Security claim by using the convenient online portal provided by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Here’s how you can check your application status:

1. Create or Sign In to Your My Social Security Account: First things first, if you haven’t already, you’ll need to create a personal my Social Security account. If you already have one, just log in https://www.ssa.gov/apply/check-application-or-appeal-status

2. Navigate to Your Benefit Applications: Once you’re logged in, head over to the My Home page. Scroll down until you find the ‘Your Benefit Applications’ section. Click on ‘View Details’ under the More Info heading.

3. Check the Current Status: Here, in the ‘Current Status’ section, you’ll see the latest update on your application.

Using this online tool not only saves you a phone call or visit to our offices it also keeps you informed about the progress of your claim from the comfort of your home.
